Eskom tested & certified
Midsun High Voltage Insulator Coating™ HVIC room temperature vulcanizing (RTV) silicone rubber coating on glass, porcelain and polymer insulators performs by virtue of its water repellency and its proprietary anti-tracking, flame retardant, adhesion promoter agents. Because the coating is highly hydrophobic contaminant’s cannot film out over the surface. The coating will eliminate and or reduce:

Safety precautions
Midsun High Voltage Insulator Coating™ HVIC uses a neutral cure system, so no acetic acid fumes or objectionable by products are evolved during application. On direct contact, uncured coating may irritate eyes. Flush with water and call a physician. See Material Safety Data Sheet available on this product.
Application
When the entire substation is to be coated, airless spraying of the Midsun High Voltage Insulator Coating™ HVIC is the recommended approach. Normal spray equipment must not be used due the moisture which causes the coating to cure prematurely. Touch-up can be done by using an approved brush.
DFT = 0.38 mm (WFT = 0.5 mm).
When Midsun High Voltage Insulator Coating™ HVIC is applied by or under the direct supervision of a Midsun Group Inc. accredited applicator then Midsun HVIC™ is warranted to prevent flashovers from the onset of leakage current for up to five (5) years.
